am new to this automation world i would like to pursue my career in this field as i am getting very much interested in it.Could any one give the idea how salary pay will be for the freshers in this field and how about the growth in this.I am a Electronics and instrumentation final semester student from chennai. please help me

Well, I have to say that salaries within the automation industry varies, from junior to senior, or country to country depending due to many factors. And in India, I believed that automation technology is going to be a boost as your country produces one of the world's best IT programmers and giving the world a competitive edge in times of technology advancements.
In many countries such as the United States, Singapore, Malaysia, and many others, I have seen many talented automation specialists doing extremely well. I hope these info will give you a word of encouragement to achieve your goals.

better to follow what you really want. just pursue your automation career if that what makes you happy and satisfied. here in Singapore there are many industrial companies need engineers/IT engineers and ive seen that they give best salary depends on your skills and experiences.
