I have a digital linear actuator connected to a PC via a DAQ card. It's lead screw rotates when the program is run. I understand that if the lead screw is prevented from rotating, it will impart a linear motion on the lead screw. I have deviced a rather cumbersome apparatus to prevent rotary motion and impart linear motion. Is there a some sort of a bush, screw or whatever that can do the same job nicely so that I can say good bye to my cumbersome apparatus.

A picture of the digital linear motor is available here. It might help.

Hi Labview1958,

I tried to view the picture but loading was pretty slow over my end, I finally managed to logon, saved the picture and insert it here. Sorry that I am not able to help, and I'm sure that many other forum members will be able to assist you with your problems smile.gif

Thanks! Someone mention somewhere that I can use a linear slide for my work. Anyone knows how to fix a linear slide to the digital linear actuator?

I can help you to solve your problem. We have been building linear slide for the last 20 years. Please furnish me the detail of your digital linear actuator and will recommend you how to mount the slide with additional components to prevent the lead screw from rotating.

I am using
RS340-6489, a digital linear actuator. I just want to prevent the lead screw from rotating. This will impart linear motion to the lead screw.

Anyone can help me find a simple linear slide for my actuator. This is to change rotary to linear motion.
