How to set mitsubishi inverter S500 multi speed control?

Good day everyone,

i need help from everyone who can guide me on how to set the mitsubishi S500 inverter.
1.) to use push button to ON the inverter and STOP the inverter...dun need reverse rotation.
2.) multi speed control by using the push button......read the manual but still unsure how to do it? do i need a addtion digital input?.......

I hope someone in the this forum can help me.......i am using the inverter for my final year project, thank you.......anyone can email me at this address low_alvin21@yahoo.com

Hi Alvin,

I guess your problem may be solved if u have an inverter that has digital and analog inputs.
With the digital input, u can start and stop the inverter, the ramp up and ramp down parameters shuould be preset in the inverter.
If u have a 2nd digital input, u can use it to latch the inverter to a preset speed.

With 4-20mA or 0-10V analog input, u use PLC with analog output card to control the inverter at any speed at any time.
(more flexible). Otherwise, you can also use potentiometer with the right resistance to manually adjust the speed via the inverter's
analog input.

Hi all,

What should we do if the error message indicate TOR (if I'm not mistaken it means Thermal Overload Relay) appeared after few minutes running?
