New Versions of ADLINK Data Acquisition Card Drivers for Windows Vista™

Providing data acquisition and industrial control compatibility with the next-generation Windows operating system

ADLINK Technology, Inc. (TAIEX: 6166), releases the latest version of DAQ card drivers to support the newly-launched Windows Vista™ operating system and enable data acquisition and industrial control applications in all the commonly-used versions of Windows. With these new Windows Vista drivers, ADLINK brings the benefits of improved computing performance and system security to data acquisition and industrial control applications. These new drivers support over a hundred ADLINK data acquisition cards in a wide assortment of functions such as simultaneous-sampling DAQ, high-channel-count DAQ, high-speed digital input/output, high-density digital input/output, analog output, digitizers, and timer/counter; and in a variety of form factors including PCI Express, PCI, CompactPCI and PXI.

These new drivers are embedded with a digital signature to ensure compatibility with Windows Vista and guarantee system security and integrity. These new drivers are compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Windows Vista.

By supporting the 64-bit editions of Windows Vista, memory-intensive applications such as video acquisition and large-scale data processing applications can be developed to take advantage of the enhanced computing performance offered by a 64-bit operating system.

In addition to supporting 64-bit editions of Windows Vista, these new drivers also support Windows® XP and Windows® Server 2003 for 64-bit Extended Systems, including AMD64 and Intel® x86-64 system architectures.

ADLINK offers hundreds of DAQ and industrial I/O cards, and PXI controllers and modules. ADLINK is committed to providing full driver support for Windows® , Linux, LabVIEW® , and MATLAB® , and software support for .NET, Visual C++, and Visual Basic.
