Basler Presents Innovations in Area Scan and Line Scan Fields at Vision 2007 |
Basler Vision Components will present several new camera models at VISION 2007: scout 90 Grad Serie
By adding a new housing variant for scout camera models, Basler is continuing along its path toward making scout series cameras a fit for nearly every space situation without compromising speed or features. Basler is using its successful platform concept for the scout camera family to make all of the sensors currently integrated into the standard housing available in the new housing. This means that our customers can choose from 9 CCD and CMOS imaging sensors in both mono and color. It also provides a choice of GigE Vision or FireWire (IEEE 1394b) interface technology. The main improvement in the new 90deg (90 degree) housing version of the scout is a remarkable reduction in the camera depth. The total depth of the camera body, included the lens mount, is less than 42 millimeters. The scout 90deg camera has its connectors on the bottom. Many other small footprint cameras have their connectors on the rear end, which expands their total depth by 20 to 30 millimeters. “Taking all of this into account, the scout fits better into many applications”, says Henning Tiarks, Product Manager at Basler-VC. Pioneer Serie
Basler-VC is also expanding its mid-range pioneer camera series by adding a new sensor front end. This addition employs the new Sony ICX625 CCD sensor and expands the maximum resolution of pioneer series cameras to 5 megapixels. This new camera features the exceptional image quality you expect from Sony CCD sensors in a small industrial footprint of 29 x 44 mm. This camera will be the ideal choice for microscopy, PCB inspection, IC packaging, electronics assembly, and component inspection. Sprint Serie
New members of our sprint line scan camera family will also make an appearance at the Vision show. The sprint series includes members with 2k, and 4k resolution and speeds from 19.3 kHz to 140 kHz. All resolutions will be available in color in the near future. The sprint’s unique dual line CMOS sensor was developed exclusively for Basler and enables an amazing line rate of 140 kHz at a resolution of 4k pixels. Some other significant features of this sensor are the outstanding sensitivity and the excellent SNR (signal-to-noise ratio). Visitors can expect Basler to present several other interesting innovations in the field of digital camera technology during the show. We look forward to seeing you at booth 4D38 in hall 4. The Vision show will take place from November 6 to 8, 2007 in Stuttgart. Basler-VC designs and manufactures advanced vision components for industrial users. Products include color and monochrome line scan, area scan, and intelligent area scan digital cameras ideal for high-speed and/or high-resolution applications. Product designs are driven by industry requirements and offer easy interfacing, compact size, and a strong price/performance ratio.
