New: Series 1700 With Tapered Spindle Shuttle

New: Series 1700 With Tapered Spindle Shuttle

This roller is the perfect alternative to powered applications within the field of container conveying technology, particularly within areas traditionally requiring tightly bolted rollers in order to minimise the overall noise level and improve durability.

Interroll has designed an 8 mm hexagonal spindle with a special spring-loaded plastic shuttle for 11 mm hexagonal holes.

The spring ensures that the tapered hexagonal shuttle is pressed into the profile holes to create a perfect fit. Thanks to this feature, the spring-loaded roller is as secure as any bolted component.

Thus, the spindle is not susceptible to any movement relative to the profile, a problem usually associated with torsional forces induced by start/stop operations. This has a major impact on service life, component wear and noise levels.

The advantages of the spring mechanism incorporated at both ends of the spindle are particularly evident during assembly. The tapered shuttle is made of an electrically conductive technopolymer that has been specially enhanced for superior noise reduction and wear resistance.

As a result, Interroll has succeeded in further reducing the noise of installed rollers, while at the same time ensuring electrical conductivity.

Benefits

-Time and cost savings during installation
-Low-noise operation thanks to tapered plastic shuttle
-No wear due to perfect fit of spindle and shuttle in profile hole
-Assembly as with standard spring-loaded spindles
-Aligned hexagonal shuttles (essential for assembly)
-Both spindle ends with snap-in mechanism
-Standard Series 1700 rollers
-Electrically conductive
-Cost-effective solution
