Honeywell to Retro Fit Wheels and Brakes For Air Berlin’s Fleet of Boeing 737-700/800


Honeywell (NYSE: HON) announced today that it has been selected to retrofit its wheels and brakes on Air Berlin’s fleet of Boeing 737-700/800 aircraft.


Air Berlin’s fleet of Boeing 737 aircraft is expected to total 130 aircraft by the time the program is completed.


“When this retrofit is completed, Air Berlin will be the second largest fleet using Honeywell Wheels and Brakes worldwide,” said Phil Jones, Vice President, Airlines-Europe, Middle East & Africa.  “Our wheel and brake technologies will help air Berlin to reduce operating costs while providing improved performance and reliability.”
