Advantech Singapore and Microsoft Corporation Signed the Microsoft Embedded Distribution Agreement for Software Products in Embedded Systems
Advantech Co. Singapore Pte Ltd (ASG) and Microsoft Corporation signed the Microsoft Embedded Agreement. The deal gives Advantech the go ahead to distribute Windows Embedded software across South East Asia.
This joint alliance agreement represents a significant milestone for Advantech, and it will help us to enhance the quality of life for countless individuals. The application of Microsoft Windows® Embedded software products on Advantech platforms is assured to offer the most effective support to the embedded computing community. Now, customers can enjoy freedom from the hassle of having to deal with multiple vendors like hardware suppliers, system integrators and embedded OS distributors. Advantech’s goal is to transform Windows® Embedded Software solutions into the most accessible and easily applied product for the embedded computing community.
Advantech Singapore is positioned strategically to provide responsive sales and marketing services, and regional support for South Asia Pacific region. The Singapore office was setup in 1995, and its operational strength and capabilities were broadened to assist with opening regional offices in various major cities across the south-eastern Pacific hemisphere: February 2001, in Sydney and Melbourne, Australia; April 2000, in Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, then July 2000, in Penang; October 2004 in Thailand-Bangkok; and most recently, September 2005, in Bangalore, India.
